Aikido Club Sassuolo was established by Emidio Lezza, Aikido Master, in 1987.
Following the dictates of Morihei Ueshiba, founder of Aikido, who asked all his students "to introduce the practice of Aikido to any place where it was unknown", he decided to bring Aikido to Sassuolo, after having taught for several years in other cities.

From 1987 to 1989 the Aikido courses were held in a school gymnasium in Sassuolo, but in 1989 ACS moved to its new premises at 4, via Atene.

Since September 2003 the new dojo location has been P.zza Falcone e Borsellino 2 where all its activities take place today.

More than 25 years have passed and the story goes on...
